Dr. Carolyn A Jones
After studying Biochemistry and Physiology at the University of Wales, Cardiff, Dr Carolyn Jones spent a brief time in the British Army where, unfortunately, injury cut short her service.
She studied Medicine in Bristol and on graduation in 2006 went on to undergo numerous hospital and family practice placements throughout the UK and then further post graduate examinations to become a Family physician.
Carolyn is a Clinical Instructor for the University of British Columbia Medical School and regularly teaches medical students as well as supports the department with an examining role.
Carolyn is also a master injector in 'botox' injections for treating pain and for cosmetic purposes through the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine.
Carolyn and her family decided to move to Canada in 2014. ‘We love the outdoor lifestyle and the opportunities that Canada provides'. Out of work Carolyn enjoys skiing, sailing and spending time with her family.
Dr. Helen Imolele
We are delighted to welcome Dr Helen Imolele and her family to the beautiful Shuswap.
Helen has moved here to start a new family practice at Bastion Medical Centre. A general background in Family Medicine, she has a keen interest in Care of the Elderly in the community setting and enjoys caring for patients in all our long term care facilities
DR. JEFF MILLAR
A huge welcome to Dr Jeff Millar.
Jeff has been in the Shuswap for over 20 years and we are very fortunate to
have him on our team. He brings a panel of patients with him from all around the
We are looking forward to meeting his patients over the coming months!
We welcome Ashley to our team as our senior receptionist.
Ashley is a Shuswap gal through and through. A busy mom of 2, when she is not in the office she can be found at dance classes with her girls and looking after her livestock, including some lively cows on her acreage!
Carroll is our newest team member and we welcome her to our growing support staff team.
Carroll is a busy lady outside the office; together with her husband they have raised 3 adult children who are now at University. Her hands are full with four boys left at home. Any free time is spent trying as much as possible to soak up the Shuswap summer sun and in the Winter she enjoys supporting her son and foster son as they play hockey!
